Daring Don't - ReviewThis review will contain spoilers for those who have not seen the latest episode of MLP.
The story of this episode is that Rainbow Dash and her friends help their favourite author, A.K. Yearling, to finish her latest book.
Let me start this review by saying that I couldn't help but feel a slight disappointment with it. Not the episode itself, let me be perfectly clear about that. No, what I was disappointed with was that this episode did not seem to further the story arc concerning the mysterious box introduced in the season opener. With that arc used during last week's episode, I had high hopes that the episodes of this season would follow a consistent season-long story arc, which is something they’ve never done before. I know it's unfair to hold something like that against this episode, as it was something I was hoping for rather than what I got, but the sentiment remains.
The story we do get however, is one that I enjoyed, as it concerns something I'd hoped they'd be touching
Gender Specific This article was about the use of gender specific toys in marketing. I could go on for a long time about this subject because I have a huge opinion on it. While many people don’t see what’s wrong with having gender specific things, even saying that, “That’s how it’s supposed to be.” They don’t realize that the only reason they think that’s how it’s supposed to be is because they grew up with these gender specific things. So at a young age they were taught that girls were supposed to like pink, frilly princesses and boys were to like football and action figures. Even some of the toys aiming toward females, like baby dolls, are trying to push small children into a mindset prepared for mother hood. While many toys aimed at males are labeled as “gross”. Like gooey things and ugly monsters. Because of these things being given to children based on their sex, it makes them
Nukid101's Top 30 7th Generation Games: 5 - 1
Hey everyone, back already for the finale! I imagine it must seem weird to get out three parts almost back to back like this, and much of it boils down to me being ready to start my 2013 countdowns, and I’ve simply been in a writing mood. So with that said, here is the final part of my countdown!
Nukid101’s Top 30 7th Generation Games: 5 – 1
Xenoblade Chronicles (2011)
Many of you who haven’t played this game have likely still heard the talk around it. How it’s one of the greatest JRPGs ever made, how it’s the best JRPG of this generation, sometimes it’s even been called the Final Fantasy VII of this generation, it’s THAT much of a game changer. I obviously wholeheartedly agree with some of these, but some of you are no doubt wondering why Xenoblade - a spiritual successor to Xenosaga and more importantly, Xenogears - has garnered such praise.
The answer is truthfully quite simple:
Voltz' Christmas Carol: Il Natale Che Quasi Non Fu
Alec: (sleeps comfortably in his bed, his hand on the handle of a Ghostbuster proton pack, a light shines on him, the pillow covering his head, Alec quickly sits up, charging the pack) "AAAAGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!"
HailtotheChimp: (wearing a bed sheet and holding a flashlight) "Sweet Robert E. Howard! Volts, it's me! Hail!"
Alec: (turns off the proton pack) "Oh, Hail. Don't do that. You could have been burned/melted or whatever this thing does to humans."
HailtotheChimp: "Where did you even get that thing?!"
Alec: "I reviewed Ghostbusters so I got a proton pack out of it. Don't you get stuff from the movies you review?"
HailtotheChimp: "Um…sometimes…I mostly just give them up after I review the movie to make room for my dorm room."
Alec: "Well, you're missing out."
HailtotheChimp: "I…I'm gonna go now…" (he walks out of Alec's room, he returns quickly to shine a light on Alec, hoping to see what he looks like without the mask, only to find he's wearing a nightcap a
Reaper High Review - Contest EntryReaper High Review
For those of you who enjoy the many cartoons of the past and present, ranging from “The Powerpuff Girls”, to “Xiaolin Showdown” and “Ed, Ed’n Eddy” to name a few, what comes to your mind? That would be the memorable characters. People love the characters for their various personalities and motives. Like the Powerpuff girls, they became the heroines for young girls of the modern age and are also relatable. And despite being created from a science experiment, they proved themselves to be just as human as any of us. And from “Xiaolin Showdown”, a hero is a hero, but everyone loves a great villain. And Jack Spicer is a villain whom despite his bumblings, gets up after every defeat and proves to be a threat to the heroes with his genius in robotic engineering. But even Jack Spicer walks down the middle as he does have a good side in him, but still prefers to stay evil. Whether good, evil, or even in between, the
STH 255 reviewNow onto another exciting issue of the Sonic the Hedgehog comics part 3 of Countdown to Chaos. This issue was quite interesting but let us recap on what happened during this issue. Again to remind the reader, please support the original release.
Sonic and Tails make an aerial drop into Metropolis zone in search of Bunnie. They find her and tell her what had been going on their missions of finding the other freedom fighters including the fact they need to find Sally Acorn and Amy Rose. Bunnie tells them of her mission. She was to capture a new shield generator Eggman’s Research and development division at Metropolis was working to replace the damaged one on the Death Egg. She figures that Sky Patrol would need the generator to face the Death Egg. Sonic, Tails and Bunnie (whom has her robotic parts back) battle through Egg Army and Badniks of Metropolis Zone (the unholy trinity of badniks; Asterons, Shell crackers, and Slicers). They successfully obtain the generator using the Eart
So you want to write a story? - Writing guideSo, a lot of people seemed to like some of my writing guides and tutorials(mostly on other sites where it’s noticed and suffers less competition, but hey, whatever). So, I’m trying to do some more, see if they help anyone. If they do, well great, I guess I can say I accomplished something. I don’t think this was written all that well but whatever, here it is.
But where to begin???
First, to have a story, you have to have…well…an idea! An idea and a little creativity.
Sometimes you get an idea that doesn’t quite work when you first think of it, but don’t worry.
I have quite a lot of ideas. Some work, some don’t. Some don’t work until you spend a lot of time thinking about and polishing them. These ideas don’t have to be grand, they can be incredibly small.
They can start with a simple thought or the punch-line of a joke(my next book after Fosterling may end up being based off a very creative and hilarious joke that pas
Ideas Are Magic: A Sister Series to FiMIdeas Are Magic: A Sister Series to FiM
It has been many months since I've written anything like this. I say it's been far too long. Though I love MLP:FiM, I've given up on it ever achieving the writing quality and soul of its first season ever again. I wish, then, to focus on one of the aspects of a proposal made back when BronyUnderground was still young: a sister series starring The Great and Powerful Trixie.
A decent number of the people I've talked to are opposed to the idea of a show following Trixie. It is quite understandable, given the perceived nature of the character and the very popular demand to see a series based on Celestia and Luna. Understandable as it may be, a Royal Sisters series can ultimately have no suspense because the audience knows that they will have made it out of every situation safely and soundly, that they may appear in FiM later; the audience knows that everything will work out. As interesting as it would be to see the princesses in the past, such a seri

LithiumA single trickling rain drop
Like gossamer silk strands
Gliding along my third eye
Whispers wind's secret caress
I exhale. Lungs releasing-
Pressing translucent memories;
Fragment of a fragment
As water kisses rose petal,
Drifting down stream's curtain
Pretty little curtain.
Where the wizard lies.
He smiles up at me
With his monocled brow-
Sipping on warm tea
And fingers quacking casually
To the rhythm of his notes
This is a safe-zone. Free-zone.
Innocent eyes sparkle,
Imploring it to be true. I breathe.
